Powders for thermal spraying made from wastes of mill roll production

Abstract
The prospects of use of wastes after machining of mill rolls for commercial manufacture of inexpensive powders for thermal spraying are shown. Peculiarities of the effect of plasma spraying on adhesion strength of coatings have been investigated. It is shown that plasma coatings produced from mixtures of cast iron powders and self-fluxing nickel alloys possess high tribological properties.
