Effect of characteristics of AE transducer on registered wave spectra

Earlier published works represent the formulas for calculation of movement of outer surface of the plates, describing the complete wave spectra propagating in the plate. It was shown analytically, that AE waves in the plates can propagate with the velocities higher than C1. However, controlling apparatuses take only that part of the wave spectrum, which is passed though acoustic transducer having specific amplitude-frequency characteristic. This characteristic is related, first of all, with desing and dimensions of sensing element and transducer housing. The paper considers the peculiarities of registration of AE waves using the transducers with different amplitude-frequency characteristic.  4 Ref., 2 Fig.
