The device described is intended for detection of leaks on the side of vacuum, i.e. from the inside of a work chamber. The device comprises a funnel with a pressure gauge tube installed at its neck. The funnel is moved over the surface being examined. The leak is detected by deterioration of vacuum in the funnel registered by a vacuum gauge.
