International Association "Welding"

International Association “Welding” (IAW) was founded on June 5, 1991, by the E.O. Paton Electric Welding Institute of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (PWI), Kyiv, Ukraine, and a number of organizations in the welding industry from Ukraine, Bulgaria, Macedonia and Poland.

From its founding until 2020, Academician Boris Paton, Director of the PWI, served as Chairman of the Association’s Board. Currently, Academician Leonid Lobanov, Deputy Director of the PWI, serves as Chairman of the Association’s Board.

The Director of the International Association “Welding” is Dr. Oleksandr Zelnichenko.

The International Association "Welding" was registered as an entity in the field of print media by the National Council of Ukraine on Television and Radio Broadcasting on May 9, 2024, protocol No. 1596/15.
Identification number of The International Association "Welding" in the Unified State Register of Enterprises and Organizations of Ukraine is 14290562.
