The Paton Welding Journal

Scientific-technical and production “The Paton Welding Journal” was founded in 1989 and was published in the UK as a full English translation of “Avtomaticheskaya Svarka” (Automatic Welding) journal, which was published in Russian since 1948. Since 2000 publication of “The Paton Welding Journal” continued in Ukraine.

The content of “The Paton Welding Journal” includes original articles by authors from around the world in welding, specialty electrometallurgy, technical diagnostics and NDT, as well as related technologies. Content of the Journal also selectively includes translations into English of articles from the following journals, published in Ukrainian and included in the list of professional publications of Ukraine (category “B”) in technical fields of science:
  • “Avtomatychne Zvaryuvannya” (Automatic Welding), ISSN 3041-2374 (print), ISSN 3041-234X (online);
  • “Suchasna Elektrometalurhiya” (Electrometallurgy Today), ISSN 3041-2382 (print), ISSN 3041-2331 (online);
  • “Tekhnichna Diahnostyka ta Neruinivnyi Kontrol” (Technical Diagnostics & Nondestructive Testing), ISSN 041-2358 (print), ISSN 3041-2366 (online).
Periodicity of issue: monthly.

“The Paton Welding Journal” is published 12 times a year.

Language of publication of “The Paton Welding Journal” is English.

All articles submitted to the Editorial Board must be peer reviewed and checked for plagiarism. The journal provides users with guarantees in accordance with policy of open access.

The purpose of “The Paton Welding Journal” is to emerging new scientific knowledge, to present a forum for discussing of new result in welding and related technologies which contribute to the creation of new technologies and engineering samples with improved technical and economic performance and to facilitate their implementation. That is why in articles published in the journal, the emphasis is on both scientific novelty and practical value. Extensive cooperation of the Journal with research institutes, educational centers and industrial makes it possible to review articles by leading experts and to involve in the publication of advanced research results.
