Abstract:
A new approach is proposed to designing multielement parametric eddy current transducers for operation with single-channel eddy-current flaw detectors. Four element transducer with linear arrangement of the windings is used as an example to show the effectiveness of this class of eddy current transducers for detection of short cracks in products from aluminium and titanium alloys. The influence of winding spacing on inductance and sensitivity of multielement eddy current transducer was studied. Ref. 17, Table 1, Fig. 4
Keywords: multielement eddy current transducer, eddy current flaw detector, inductance winding, inductance, electric resistance, standard sample, crack, hodograph, complex plane
