Abstract
A comprehensive study was conducted on the quality of deformed semifinished products produced from VT8 titanium alloy ingot. Using electron beam remelting technology, ingots with a diameter of 400 mm were produced and subsequently used to manufacture semifinished products in the form of hot-rolled bars (Ø200 mm) and discs (Ø440×145 mm). This paper presents the results of investigations into the structure and mechanical properties of the obtained semifinished products. It has been shown that the metal in both the produced ingots and the deformed semifinished products meets the requirements of the applicable standards. 9 Ref., 5 Tabl., 6 Fig.
