Purpose and objectives of the journal
The “Electrometallurgy Today” journal is a peer-reviewed open-access scientific journal that publishes
the results of original fundamental and applied research in the fields of electrometallurgy, specialized
metallurgy, high-temperature processing technologies for metals and alloys, and materials science.
The journal covers research aimed at studying the physicochemical and materials science fundamentals of
electrometallurgical processes, electric arc, plasma, induction, electron beam, and electroslag technologies,
as well as processes of smelting, refining, modification, and alloying of metals, and materials science issues
related to metals and alloys.
The journal’s scope includes:
- theory and modeling of high-temperature metallurgical processes;
- electrical, plasma, and hybrid energy sources in metallurgy;
- properties of metals and alloys, microstructure formation, and phase transformations;
- new structural and functional materials, including high-strength, heat-resistant, corrosion-resistant, and special alloys;
- additive technologies, powder metallurgy, and other innovative methods of material forming;
- resource efficiency, energy conservation, and environmental safety in metallurgical production;
- digital modeling, automation, and intelligent control of metallurgical processes.
The journal publishes scientific articles, reviews, analytical materials, and the results of experimental
studies that demonstrate scientific novelty, theoretical significance, and practical value for the
advancement of metallurgical science and industrial technologies.
