Abstract
It
is shown that hydroelectric pulse treatment can provide an efficient stabilization
of the dislocation structure and, accordingly, the HAZ metal of welded joints
in steel 09G2S through regulating the energy of loading pulses without increasing
their amplitude. It is noted that in this characteristic the method of hydroelectric
pulse treatment is similar to ultrasonic peening.
Keywords: welded joints, hydroelectric pulse treatment, energy flow density, pressure wave, amplitude, dislocation density
