Abstract
Shown is the possibility of melting and casting high-nitrogen Kh21G17AN2 steel under the conditions of plasma-arc skull melting. Boundary conditions of nitriding Kh21G17N2 steel in order to produce sound castings were determined. Castings in the form of 12 mm wire were produced. Casting quality and properties were studied. Investigation of weldability of the produced steel with super equilibrium nitrogen content was conducted at manual argon-arc welding. 15 Ref., 5 Tabl., 7 Fig.
