Abstract
It
is shown that application of resistance build-up welding of steel with wire
for restoration of cast iron surfaces can be technically and economically
justified. For this purpose it is necessary to provide a continuous built-up
layer with a guaranteed quality of its joining with the a base metal.
Keywords: resistance build-up welding, restoration, cast iron parts, solid-phase joint, building-up modes, mechanical tests, metallographic investigations
