Abstract
Effect of the centrifugal thermal spraying process on structure, microhardness and stoichiometric composition of spherical tungsten carbide granules was investigated. Comparative analysis of initial spraying materials (ingots) and spherical particles was conducted. It is established that the granulated WC-W2C particles, having the highest microhardness and wear resistance, can be produced only as a result of remelting of a spraying material.
