The work is a study of the impact of pulsed-arc welding process on structure formation and properties of the metal of the weld and HAZ, compared to welding by a stationary arc. In the case of high-strength steel S450M, it is shown that pulsed-arc welding allows effective regulation of structure formation. Owing to a change of TCW, the weld and HAZ form a mixed structure that allows achieving high values of strength and brittle fracture resistance. 14 Ref., 1 Tabl., 6 Fig.
