Abstract
The influence of modes of ultrasonic welding and methods of introducing mechanical vibrations into the weld zone on the quality of welded joints produced in sealing of polyethylene containers is considered. It is shown that with the decrease of the static compression force in the forging stage and of welding time the welded joint quality is improved at the expense of a more uniform morphology, absence of defects or texture in the weld zone. A new welding cycle and the appropriate schematic of dosing the energy of the introduced mechanical vibrations are proposed. Recommendations are issued on industrial use of the developed technology.
