Abstract
Technologies and welding consumables for manual arc and mechanized welding of high-strength hardenable steels without
preheating and postweld heat treatment (PWHT) to provide a welded joint equal in strength to the base metal are presented.
Structure, physical-chemical properties, susceptibility to a delayed fracture and corrosion cracking of welded joints made
from 15Kh2N4MDA (C - 0.15; Cr - 2.0; Ni - 4.0; Mo, Cu - 1.0 wt.%) high-strength steel are described.
Keywords: welding consumables, hardenable steel, weld metal, welded joint, mechanical properties, microstructure, crack resistance, cold resistance, fatigue strength
