Properties of hypereutectoid complex-alloyed steels after laser heat-treatment

Abstract
Laser
heat-treatment of hypoeutectoid complex-alloyed steels has been studied
for the case of diesel engine crankshafts and parts of steam-distribution
units of steam turbines. A procedure is proposed for selection of the treatment
modes. A technology of laser hardening of crankpins of crankshafts made
of this steel grade has been developed.
