The journal was founded in 1975 by Academician Boris Paton.

It is published four times a year.

Languages of publication: Ukrainian and English.

Editor-in-Chief: Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine Serhii Akhonin.

The editorial policy is focused on ensuring high standards of peer review, international academic integrity, and the integration of published results into the global scientific community.\

The journal belongs to the “Mechanical Engineering and Machine Building” cluster and publishes articles in the following fields:

• G8 Materials Science;
• G10 Metallurgy.
