В сборнике представлены доклады Международной конференции «Математическое моделирование и информационные технологии в сварке и родственных процессах», в которых отражены достижения за последние годы в области математического моделирования физических явлений, протекающих при сварке, наплавке и других родственных процессах. Рассмотрены также перспективы развития информационных технологий.
Одной из характерных особенностей представленных докладов является стремление их авторов получить не только новые научные результаты, но и создать инструмент для практического применения при поиске рациональных технологических решений. В основу таких разработок положено комплексное математическое моделирование связанных друг с другом характерных физических явлений, определяющих качество технологического процесса, в сочетании с соответствующими информационными технологиями, способствующими достоверности полученных результатов и эффективности разработок. Авторами докладов являются известные специалисты из различных стран мира. Для научных и инженерно-технических работников, занятых в области сварки, резки, наплавки, пайки, нанесения защитных покрытий и других родственных процессов.
